ENPISAccount and Data Deletion
How ENPIS users can request deletion of an account and associated personal information.
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Approval and account access
Submitting a request does not immediately delete, disable, or change your account. ENPIS will verify your identity and an authorised team member must review and approve the request before any server data is deleted or anonymised. You can continue using the account while the request is pending unless we tell you otherwise for security reasons.
Submit a request
- Email info@engis.en.gov.ng with the subject “ENPIS account deletion request”.
- Send the request from the email address associated with the account where possible.
- State whether you use a staff, enumerator, or property-portal account.
- Complete any identity-verification step we send before deletion is processed.
Data covered by the request
After verification and approval, the request will cover the account profile, sign-in access, saved device tokens, and personal information that can be deleted without violating legal, government-record, financial, security, or audit obligations.
Data that may be retained
Property records, completed field submissions, enforcement evidence, billing and payment records, fraud or security records, and required audit history may need to be retained or de-identified where applicable law or government-record duties require it. We will explain material retention that applies to a verified request.
Timing
We aim to acknowledge a request within seven business days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days after identity verification and approval. A longer period may apply where required records must be reviewed or retained.
Remove local app data
Signing out, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the app can remove local information from the device, but it does not by itself delete server records. Use the email process above for a server-side deletion request.
